I've spent many years learning about dog behaviour and training, studying with respected organisations and continuing to build my knowledge through courses, seminars and ongoing education. Staying up to date with the latest research means we can offer practical thoughtful support that truly puts your dogs wellbeing first.

SERVICES WE OFFER
Positive Pet Training
GROUP TRAINING
Group classes are held on the large field to the rear of The Junction Pub, Rainford, St Helens.
All our training is done using positive reward based methods. We will provide you with tools and tricks to teach your pet how to be a well-mannered companion. Group training classes are effective in teaching your dog to work with and listen to you in a distracting but controlled environment. Our holistic approach creates pets that are balanced, mentally and physically.
ONE TO ONE TRAINING.
We're here to help!
One to one training is there to help with specific problems whether behavioural issues such as aggression or reactivity to lead manners and recall. We can also help nervous owners build their confidence with their dogs, who feel they’re not ready for a group class environment.
One to one's are via home visits and are charged at £80 per one hour session.
ONLINE TRAINING COURSE
Our remote learning solution.
Our 6 week online training course covers everything from lead walking and recall to teaching your dog how to settle and leave things that don't belong to them. Our step by step instructinal videos will help you and your dog learn the skills you need to thrive together. For just £60 you get lifetime access to the course and all the instructional videos.
CLEVERK9 PUPPY SCHOOL
6 WEEK COURSE
This is a six week course designed to give you the ability to communicate well with your pup and give them all the skills they need to be a well mannered and socialised companion.
Your puppy will learn many skills including:

How to walk with a nice loose lead

How to come when called

Manners around other dogs and people

Targeting and settling on a bed

How to wait and stay
These are just some of the things your pup will learn.
All training is supported by a dedicated WhatsApp group for each class providing support and advice 7 days a week.

Owner and Head Trainer
I am really passionate about helping people improve their relationship with their canine companions by gaining a better understanding of them.I have studied with the IMDT and The School of Canine Science among others. I have a diploma in Canine psychology (distinction), canine behaviour and training, I also have a specialist diploma in canine anxiety (distinction) and aggression and rehabilitation. I am a full member of the National UK Therapist register in Canine psychology, the UK Training and Behaviour Charter and the PPG.. I avidly pursue ongoing education and professional development by attending courses and seminars. I also like to keep up to date with any new industry research and literature.

Margaret has been a dog trainer for many years and has a wealth of experience working with a wide range of dogs and handlers. Margaret's particular passions include agility and trick training, where she excels at bringing out the best in each dog through thoughtful, reward-based methods. Margaret's depth of knowledge, practical skill, and supportive teaching style make her a valued part of the Clever K9 team.

Chenise is a trainee instructor at CleverK9 with a particular passion for puppies and general dog training. She enjoys helping owners build strong foundations through clear communication, positive reinforcement, and fun, engaging sessions. Chenise has a calm friendly approach and loves seeing both dogs and owners grow in confidence as they learn together.
